计划目标
半导体无处不在——从智能手机中的处理器和人工智能芯片到电动汽车和自动驾驶汽车的电子设备，再到用于医疗保健的新型传感器。制造和半导体技术所需的培训在各个领域迅速发展。除了半导体制造工艺外，半导体行业还是资本密集型行业，必须关注制造智能的现实需求，包括新晶圆厂建设、技术迁移、产能改造和扩张、工具采购和外包。近年来，半导体制造也成为全球地缘政治的战场。因此，香港和内地需要专业教育来培养工程师，以获得智能和半导体制造的能力。
该项目旨在为学生提供过程控制/操作、电子和先进封装技术、智能和半导体制造材料及其相关可靠性科学和质量工程方面的知识/技能。解决问题和开发新工艺或设备的能力。鼓励学生参与公司的项目。该计划的目标是为希望攻读研究生学位或进入半导体和电子行业领域工作的学生做好准备。

†组合模式：以组合模式学习课程的本地学生可以在不同学期就读全日制（每学期12-18学分）或兼职（不超过11个学分），而无需获得大学的批准。对于非本地学生，他们将被录取为全日制或非全日制学习课程。非本地学生必须保持全日制或非全日制学习所需的学分，任何变动都需要获得大学的批准。
You may obtain the MSc degree by either
- completing taught courses only, or
- taught courses plus the dissertation project.
