The BFA in Sound Design provides a more in-depth study of principles introduced in the AA program. Students will gain a complete overview of the soundtrack creation process, learning the latest in digital audio workstation workflows, as well as recording, editing, and mixing. BFA students will complete a demo reel in their final year, highlighting their best sound design for visual media (film, animation, games, and web media).

This degree will equip you to use real-life recording studios and production suites to compose, create and deliver music of the highest quality. The programme embraces learners from a variety of musical backgrounds, such as instrumentalists, vocalists and group musicians looking to broaden their knowledge and skills. The course also welcomes those with ‘non-traditional’ musical skills and experience such as programming, sequencing, recording, mixing, and DJ-ing.

Develop your creativity and gain confidence working in high-quality recording and post-production suites with SAE’s Audio Production degree. Get to grips with the latest music production software, including Pro Tools, Ableton and FMOD, and use your newfound knowledge across the creative worlds of music, film, TV, games and more.
