This international Master’s programme emphases critical approaches to social and cultural issues in media and communications. Taught in Lund at a high-ranking research-led department, our courses focus on contemporary debates about knowledge, power and social relations. We aim to broaden students’ understanding of global media structures and processes by tackling issues and theories related to media engagement, democracy and cultural citizenship, media industries and creativity, gender, health and society, audiences, popular culture and everyday life; providing students with theoretical and empirical tools.
